Over the last ten years I have periodically made series of watercolours, some of which are represented below. The activity has at times been every day for a couple of hours, sometimes a single hour before I went to teach at Winchester School of Art or afterwards when I returned home. A series might last for several days or weeks. Once finished I would never really return to that particular body of work. A series might be based around a topic or theme or some new process I had discovered, as below withe use of stencils, or it might be scratching into the paper to give a lithographic or etching like effect.

The images below are a small selection of watercolours produced over the last few years, the ones bellow pertain to two periods of work, one on Heart Transplants and the other ones based on the immune system and more specifically the lymphatic system and the important role it plays.
